Working with Generations:
Differences in the Workplace

How do different generations need to be managed in the workplace? These differences apply to how they are recruited,  performance managed and work with each other.

There are currently five generations in the workforce, and employers are faced with both an ageing workforce and mass retirements of Baby Boomers. If you are looking for ways to deal with the current generational diversity and prepare for the changes that will result, this course is for you.

We will explore problems, solutions, and strategies to take advantage of and help overcome issues of the generational workforce makeup.

  • Highlights of what participants will learn:

  • Develop your understanding of the generational workforce and the issues that need to be prepared for and addressed

  • Understand and apply communication appropriate and specific to each generation currently in the workplace;

  • Explore organisation strategies that take advantage of and overcome gap issues;

  • Evaluate the need for effective recruiting, retention, and succession plans in context of the generational organisation makeup.

If you manage a diversity of ages in your staff, participate in the recruitment process, or want to create a consistent policy for dealing with appropriate age concerns and issues for your organisation, this is the program for you.
