Advanced Writing Skills

There’s more to good business writing than putting words on a page, or even into an e-mail. With this Advanced Writing Skills workshop, attendees learn how to improve business writing skills by focusing on the Four C’s of good writing: making their writing clear, complete, concise, and correct.

 
 
 
 

Attendees learn how to improve sentence construction and paragraph development to help clarify complex information; how to create effect business cases and proposals; improve their corporate letter writing; and how to properly document their sources to ensure their information is correct. Including exercises on voice, rhythm, empathy, and tone, students will be prepared to create effective business documents that cut down on confusion and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Note: Advanced Writing Skills is intended for an audience already familiar with basic writing skills. For students who require basic training in writing, please see Business Writing that Works.
